Any advice on being able to drive
Hi JC59,Has your sister spoken to her oncologist about this, if not, I would advise her to do so. It was an instant 3 year stop on driving for me as I had a grade 4 glio. If your sister has a lower grade glio, it might be different, but her oncologist, should be the first port of call or you could use the Brain Tumour Charity website to seek further guidance.
I was diagnosed with glioblastoma grade 4 in 2015 and have been unable to drive since my treatment 2 surgeries, temozolomide chemo, radiotherapy, gliadel carnistine chem wafers, lomustine chemotherapy has meant I have been unable to drive ever since. I’ve even been banned from driving a mobility scooter as I have a condition called hemi spatial neglect where one part of my brain doesn’t connect to the other. I’d be a danger to myself and others apparently I id try one before Theban and it was very scary you could hear me coming as I called out “help! “Help!”When you’ve had any treatment carried out on your brain there are usually significant side effectsThe thing to do is check it out with the oncology ten
