three weeks into my trab. I still don’t know whether I should be doing exercises or housework. My husband is getting a bit of overload. The eye feels fine although still very blurred and my consultant is very happy with the progress. How long should I be cautious with any exertions.

I had my second post up check up last Friday and I was told no lifting or gym workouts for at least a month so now I’m into my third week post up so I think maybe another month would be needed for ha healthy recovery. I’m going back today for my third check up and I’m going to ask again as I get different doctors every week

Hello Justinerose, Usually the eye department provides information for patients Do and Don't Activities after trabeculectomy . Generally - Household chores (cleaning/ironing. vacuum etc)- avoid for 1-2 weeks, Gym/playing sports/running & jogging - for avoid 3 months; swimming - until all the stitches have been removed. Walking - No restrictions. with best wishes.

hi you should be good to go. I have had a similar operation and went back to normal duties after a week. Just be sensible, no swimming and no yoga for a couple of months.
