MRI results nerves

Just wondering how long MRI results are normally as had scans Sunday for brain and eye orbits in the process of diagnosing normal tension glaucoma. Waiting is dreadful! 😩

Normally MRI results can take up to 2 weeks but if this was an urgent referral, then I would think you will hear back from your consultant much sooner.

hello there, my mri brain plus optic mri took just under 7 weeks to get the results by post😩 (I was convinced there was something wrong with my brain but all was ok) I did call after about 4 weeks to chase . I hope yours are quicker!!

Grief!! That must have been dreadful!! I’m struggling waiting already and I know what you mean as I’m imagining so many things and feeling ill with the worry. I didn’t have any illness symptoms before I went for a regular eye test and now feel I have everything. My scans are precautionary to rule anything else out and if clear I have a phasing day where they will probably diagnose Normal Tension glaucoma in my right eye.

bless you I’m absolutely sure yours will be fine but I know what you mean as it’s very easy to become convinced/worry. I had been concerned about my brain way before my glucoma diagnosis as had many symptoms related to memory, focus , general confusion, even forgetting how to swallow ?! And I was quite sure it couldn’t be just down to my loss of sight. Whilst waiting I tried to keep busy and put my worry in a box as practically speaking I knew couldn’t do anything further anyway 😬 you will be fine and hopefully yours will be quicker. My friend has ms and her mri results come back within 3 weeks, so maybe I was unlucky. The best of luck to you x
