Does having had laser surgery mean that the question on DVLA is that I do not have glaucoma ?

I would think that your eye doctor will say if you have glaucoma. I had high eye pressures for years, treated with drops. Also had laser treatment (which didn't work for me) but at that time had occular hypertension which hadn't developed into glaucoma (damage to the optic nerve). After every eye appointment I received a letter detailing pressures and diagnosis. So perhaps you have a written diagnosis of occular hypertension, if so not glaucoma. If not then your eye doctor could tell you. I hope this helps and doesn't patronise.
you cannot cure glaucoma. Surgery, laser or otherwise doesn’t mean you don’t have glaucoma anymore.
no I had an operation to lower the pressure and laser and doctor said that you still have to report it to DVLA. Glaucoma is not just pressure it is damage to the eye.
Hello. If you have been told by your eye specialist that you have glaucoma and you had laser treatment, you still have glaucoma. The laser treatment will have hopefully worked to reduce your eye pressure, to help reduce any further deterioration of your vision. You will be monitored at the hospital regularly to check that your glaucoma is stable. Treatment is changed if your eye specialist becomes aware of any changes from the further tests you will be doing each time you attend your appointment.
If your consultant/eye Dr says you have Glaucoma.. then you will still have it, even though you have your eyes lasered. The laser surgery is to help bring the pressure down. I have had laser and lens replacement in both eyes. I had to notify dvla .. who are a right pain. Failure to notify them is a £1,000 fine.
