I read on here last week that someone else was experiencing nightmares after taking Monopost. check the past posts I'm not sure if I can mention the other persons name but the entry comes under the heading of Monopost about 22hours ago.

Hello,

The best thing to do is to check the patient information leaflet which come with the eyedrops. If you can relate to any of them, get back to your consultant via the eye secretary to make them aware.

Closing your eye and pressing on your tear-duct for up to 2 minutes can help reduce the side effects too, as it reduced the risk of the drop getting into the tear-duct, and travelling to the back of the throat and getting into the blood stream.

I am taking monopost eye drops and brinzolomide and have had a stabbing pain

in one eye. Could this be a side effect?

Perhaps there is a connection. Not mentioned on Monopost information leaflet but is on Atorvastatin leaflet. It’s good to know I’m not the only one but Monopost seems to be best fit for most people so I will carry on using it for my eye pressures.

The weird dreams with lanopost drops (includes Monopost) is a known side effect, it isn’t usually every night. However I no longer use my drops the evening before rough overnight sea crossings.

oooh! Now you mention it some years back I had strange dreams, disturbed sleep, giddiness, intolerance of any alcohol at all plus a whole host of other symptoms as soon as put on combined brinzolamide & briminodine added to Lantanoprost. I never got feedback on these reactions as my eyes very serious reactions took priority as I had instant very sore bloodshot painful eyes, which after a year and letters from my opticians during lockdown, they decided was a reaction to preservatives and took me off all those drops completely and changed to dorzolamide preservative free and from lantanoprost to bimatoprost preservative free. Everything improved within a week and I’ve been on these ever since (3 yrs) with absolutely no issues (just slight sting on application sometimes and dry eyes) so never queried the cause of other reactions.
