trusopt drops

has anyone else been prescribed trusopt drops 2 drops twice daily both eyes

The initial prescription was given by the consultant, but when I requested another prescription from GP they queried it as said usually it was only 1 drop per eye

Hi there,I use Trusopt 1 drop in each eye twice a day plus Fixapost 1 drop in each eye once a day

The pharmacist said he’d not heard of having 2 drops of trusopt to each eye it was normally prescribed as one

I’m on tiopex and monopost as well

I've used Trusopt for 2 years now, 1 drop in each eye ,twice a day

I have been on trusopt but it was only ever one drop in each eye.

Have used it myself a while ago, but had to remind myself by checking by internet search ! Dorzolomide is the generic name and is usually twice daily, one authority indicated up to three times. Acts within three hours, lasts eight. I suggest that you ask your GP pharmacist to do a simple search to confirm the hospital recommendation

Hi! I’d call the consultants secretary to check. I’m on Dorzolamide drop one drop each eye twice daily and I know it can be done up to three times daily. Not heard of two drops though. Prescription might have been misread by someone at hospital and mis-prescribed, so I’d check ASAP.

Hi. I'm the same as other users - one drop Trusopt per eye twice a day. Also Ganfort once a day. Best to double check perhaps.

I use Trusopt - one drop each eye twice a day and Ganfort one drop twice a day - my issue is getting hold of Trusopt - sometimes have to wait over a week for chemist to order in which means I run out

Hello. Normally Trusopt is prescribed twice if used with another drop. You can always get back in touch with your consultant for clarification.

I've been on Trusopt , one drop three times a day plus Bimatoprost once a day.

I was prescribed one drop per eye twice a day ,but had painful stinging after applying in both eyes,so refused .Now have Timolol one drop each eye mornings, also one drop each in each eye of Monoprost at night just an observation .

I’m in all three of those daily , also have stinging in my eyes after trusopt ( feels like I have just got soap in my eyes, doesn’t last long)

the original prescription was read as 2 drops trusopt both eyes

Good to see consultant,hope all ok ? Am also a gran, and gt Gran now ! Am getting a bit of eye pain lately just now and again have been told by opthalmologist that I need to use dry eye drops if eyes get itchy as it means dry eyes ?
