nanodropper?

Has anyone heard of a nanodropper? I have been prescribed Vyzulta but my insurance doesn’t cover it, and it’s US$280 for a 30-day bottle. It’s supposed to dispense smaller drops and prevent wastage.

Hi - I've heard of it but as far as I know it's only available in the USA and you need to use a new nanodropper for each new bottle of drops. I think I read about it on the US Glaucoma Research Foundation Instagram site.

I love the nanodropper. It is a nipple that screws onto the top of your bottle. Make sure it is compatible with your bottle. The tiny hole gives a drop size it about one third the size of a normal drop so it will extend your medication and lower your costs by two third. They cost about $15 each. Probably will reduce side effects as well.

Thank you! Do you re-use yours? Sterilize in-between?

I just replaced my first one. I will probably not re-use.

I've been using it for about a year now, with 2 of my 3 drops. It has helped to reduce the skin irritation around my eyes, with no impact to my IOP (I have a home tonometer to measure). My doctor is OK with using it. To be honest I think the pricing is a bit absurd. I have been reusing mine, soaking them in contact lens disinfectant before switching bottles. I know they don't recommend it, but it seems reasonable to do.

Thank you - this is so good to know! Contact Lens disinfectant sounds like a good idea! Have you used the same one all year long?

Not the same for the entire year. I get 2-3 uses out of each one. Have had a couple of the caps break after a while of usage
