Has anyone had a similar experience? My car is lying on the street while I m waiting for the new law Dvla promise that will be coming in weeks. When I telephone Dvla about my result, I received another medical questionnaire and a D1 application form asking me to apply for a new license and fill a new medical questionnaire. I am confused because I am waiting for the law to change before I can go for the independence test but surprisingly I received another questionnaire, what am I expected to do at this point??'
Confused about the dvla result...: Has anyone... - Glaucoma UK
Confused about the dvla result...
Wondering when this actually comes in...and waiting in hope! Been months already.
I was told to complete the form and send it in along with Evidence to verify my challenge - as without the evidence it would just be returned to me. Sent it in early March - am hoping the delay is waiting for the new rules to be enforced. as no-one able to say exactly what "evidence" is required! I sent previous Field tests which proved the stability of my glaucoma since 2016 - and a letter from my Consultant to my GP...if anyone knows of anything to the contrary we would all like to know. DVLA who answered phone did not know - said he was not medically trained. Consultant did not know either - and clearly annoyed his verifications were ignored. And a top Consultant I might add! Makes no sense.
I would ring DVLA and ask for advice

Thanks for the link. I followed it the AOP (optometry) website.
Here I found the following link to the Government website. gov.uk/eye-conditions-and-d... Unfortunately, there is no indication if this is the new version.
However, looking at Form V1, which is used to inform the DVLA, the second page was revised in March 2023.
Hello, I recommend you email the DVLA at glaucomaqueries@dvla.gov.uk. If they cannot help you, they will forward your email to the relevant department. By emailing, you will have a "paper trail" of your enquiries and correspondence.
Totally agree with Trish, email glaucomaqueries@dvla.gov.uk I got nowhere with DVLA with my appeal just sent round in circles for 2 months, as soon as I emailed queries my new 3 year licence was in the post next day.
