Just wanted to update after being on here talking about my route to SLT procedure after initially being prescribed drops with private consultation. Got second opinion with another consultation as no evidence of Glaucoma and SLT recommended. Went in yesterday and had decided to do one eye at a time. After checking my pressures they had gone down from 26 to 23 without any intervention and he had to check them a second time! Basically as I had no other factors to suggest Glaucoma he said he certainly would not do both eyes and talked me through pros and cons of doing nothing or one eye done. I went with having one eye done. Ten minutes bit stingy and slight headache. Today all fine eye bit sore but didn't feel need to get prescription drops I was given in case of inflammation. And he checked left eye that was done and pressure down to 16 from 23 already! I have thick corneas so my pressures fluctuate but he seemed very happy with drop so quickly and said it was good indication of how well it worked. Have to go back in three weeks but am really happy. No need for second eye to be done and for now no evidence of Glaucoma. Thanks for all the info here that helped me with my decisions!
