We have contacted Novartis pharmaceutical corporation for an update about the supply difficulty with obtaining Simbrinza eye drops.
In a verbal message, they said: “There is an interruption in the supply of Simbrinza eye drops. There is no confirmed date of when it is likely to be made available again. It is probably an issue from the manufacturing site. In the immediate term, it isn’t available and people who are unable to obtain it will need to speak to their eye specialist for an alternative eye drop. Novartis send their apologies.”
Being unable to access your regular eye drops can be worrying. If you are unable to speak to your eye specialist or you would like additional advice or support, please contact the Glaucoma UK helpline on 01233 64 81 70 or helpline@glaucoma.uk. Our team will be happy to assist you.

I was taking Simbrinza for quite a while and often had difficulties obtaining supplies...more so than any other eye drops. Apparently many pharmacies use the same wholesalers but ASDA used a different one and would often have a bottle or two . It is worth phoning around sometimes to see if there may be a few bottles available to keep going.
The two constituents of Simbrinza...( Brinzolamide and Brimonidine) were available separately a few years ago.
Sadly I think this means a double dose of preservatives.
I have been waiting near 6 weeks now for Azopt, I'm due to start my last bottle. My Pharmacy is doing their best to obtain some. Should I consult my Eye Specialist at the Hospital as I don't think my Dr (gp) would know. I have acute angle closure and awaiting Trabeculectomy 😌
I was on that for awhile until my local pharmacies could not get, must be over a year go or more since I have used it, I liked it, now for certainly the last year I have ended up with putting 3 lots of drops in my eyes, because I now have Brinzolamide and Brimonodine in separate bottles where as Sambrzina was those to mixed together. I live in Wales in the Welsh mountains
Hi Tom, is anyone else having trouble obtaining Simbrinza drops? The specialist changed my prescrip from Latanoprost, which I liked, to Simbrinza. I have phoned around chemists in Milford, Neyland, Haverfordwest and Pembroke and none of them have S in stock.
