I have normal pressure glaucoma. I use Monoprost drops in my right eye. I have had a trab in my left eye since January 2019. My pressures are fairly stable though the damage to my left eye is getting worse.
I've always been shortsighted and obviously wear prescription specs. The last few years I have had to have prisms in my lenses to try and sort out my ghost visions. No, I'm not seeing Great Aunt Fanny floating around. But say I look at the moon, I also see a second version slightly offset from the actual one. Same with lights on my DVD player, I see them with a shadow image as well.
Moorfields and my Optician tell me my eyes are not synchronising - probably due to lazy eye muscles. I have an idea that the left eye muscles are to blame - possibly damaged when they did the trab. A new prescription is wonderful for a few days, then my vision reverts to ghosting again.
At least 50 years ago a bloke called Michael Bentine improved his eyesight by exercising his eye muscles. I am NOT saying they will help my glaucoma, but I'd really like to do something about my ghosting. So I'm asking our wonderful community if they have ever given eye exercises a try and if they can share their experience.
Kind regards to everyone.

Hi, I have a similar problem to you and have had prisms fitted in my glasses too. They do help. I’ve also had cataracts removed and SLT. My consultant told me to do the following exercises, follow an object such as a pen in towards your eyes and out again (I do this about 20 times) and then follow it from one side to another. My problem is also down to lazy eye muscles which is why he suggested these exercises. To be honest, I don’t know how helpful they are, but in my eyes (pardon the pun) it’s worth a try. I only do it once a day so it’s no hardship to me to try it 😊
