I was diagnosed with The condition about 2008, currently under my specialist who I see every 06 months. As l am new this forum business at 93 it may take me a little while to get used to it. For some time l have been experiencing light sensitive kaleidoscope images and coloured lines, squares etc in my vision , is this common or am l unique. By the way l am Joy.

Welcome to the forum Joy. Have you told your consultant about these changes in your vision and been given a reason for them ? If not I would give the eye clinic a call just for peace of mind. I always err on the side of caution when it comes to my eyes . The only time I personally have experienced light sensitivity is after a trab when I was on drops to keep my pupils dilated and once when I had an eye infection . Your other symptoms I have never had . Hopefully they are nothing to bother about but I would make sure that's the case . Take care.

Hi Joy. Welcome. I’m new to the forum too. You don’t say what drops, if any, you are on. I’m on Latanoprost, dorzolamide and brimonidine and sine the last one was added to my regime my light perception is definitely altered. Bright lights cause glare and I have rainbows occasionally at points in my vision ( different to the ones I get when my pressure rises steeply). I would discuss with your consultant but it *could* be related to the drugs.

L come to the forum Joy! I have suffered from light sensitivity, especially after surgery but I don’t experience the. Symptoms you describe. That must be very difficult to cope with. As recommended by the others who have responded to your post I think you should have this checked by the eye clinic. I do hope it wont be too difficult for you to get an appointment.

Welcome, Joy. I would advise you to phone the hospital and ask to be put through to the glaucoma clinic. Have your hospital number ready. If someone answers you can tell them your problem. If you have to leave a message, leave your name, hospital number and phone number and ask for a call-back as you have a concern. You can go into details of what the problem is, when a member of the team calls you.
