Hi peeps.. I have been using Brinzolomide & Monopost for over a year now. My left eye has some slight vision issues. My last appointment with the consultant in March showed my eye pressure in both eyes was 16 & 16.5 and I don’t need to go back until August. The last four weeks my left eye has started to film over and I need to blink to see properly, also I have been waking up and the same eye is clogged with gunge (sorry to be so graphic) .. I can’t get into see my consultant until June as that’s the earliest appointment so I,m confused and worried as to why this is happening does any of you lovely people have any advice for me …

Hello. If your eye is discharching and your vision is down I'd suggest contacting your local eye casualty Dept. It might be an infection or a reaction to drops. I recently had a severe reaction to drops which caused a lot of inflamation, watery eyes and super misty vision. Alternatively your local community optician can help. I saw one yesterday as my vision has became increasingly blurry (and better without glasses than with) and she was super helpful. They can also prescribe antibiotic drops if it's an infection. Hope it improves soon for you

Sorry to hear you are still having issues with your eyes . X

I agree.... I would ring your local eye emergency department to discuss.

Bazzer as Efabear and Stones have said definitely don't leave it. If the discharge is yellow/greenish in colour there's a very good chance it's an infection. If you are experiencing aversion to light that's another sign of infection. Even if it's an intolerance to your drops which can happen at any point it needs to be dealt with sooner than later. Good luck

That's great, let us know how you get on. Yes it's good to be able to talk to others who totally understand what you are going through.

The information and advice you have been given by everyone is spot on and I am glad you have managed to make an emergency appointment to have your eye looked at. I just want to add that if anything like this happens again, don't leave it, and act on it straight away, before the infection gets too bad.
