Diagnosed with POAG in 2013

Any idea of the cost of a trab in private hospitals such as Morefields in uk?

I thought it was about £3,500 per eye but then you have to add in about £200 for the initial consultation + more for any tests and then £200 for each follow up. So could end up costing around £4,500 for each eye if you have it done under local anaesthetic. If you have a general you would have to add on the anaesthetist's fees... probably another £1000 or so.

I had a Trab done privately Jan 21. It was a success and I’m glad I had it done. On NHS I imagine I’d still be waiting now. I had it done at Moorfields and it cost about £4.4k which was more than £1000 more expensive than other private consultants. Additionally, a couple of weeks after the Op I received a bill for another £600 for additional drugs used during the Op. expensive but I don’t regret it. The problem now is that I’ve seen such a difference between NHS and private I am nervous about going back to NHS.
