removal of sutures..at last

A very kind clinician gently removed some irritating sutures today,( 8 months following a Preserflow micro shunt implant)........so it feels like Christmas has come early.

I was originally booked in last Tuesday at the eye outpatients, but no one on duty could remove the sutures. Then I was given an appointment for another date, but when I asked if a suitable clinician would be on duty, then this date was changed to today when luckily someone experienced was in out patients.

It was worth asking to speak to a nurse to sort dates out, as the admin staff obviously just give out appointments and have little clinical knowledge.

Everyone was very pleasant and helpful despite being so desperately busy.Last week they ran out of rooms and I was trying to read the visual acuity chart with people wandering in and out and even in front of the chart.....but it did make me laugh!

Hi muddledme, I’m so pleased you’ve had the sutures removed and your eyes are feeling better. Good to know even though they were busy, they were able to help you 😊

That’s fantastic news! I have been wondering how you were getting on. You’ll feel full of beans, I bet, without that pain and irritation nagging away. So pleased for you! 👏🏻
