Not updated on here for a few days, and have been busy these last couple of days.
Been to a couple of support group meetings run by Yorkshire MESMAC in Leeds, and also been to my second Trans / Non-Binary Swimming / Gym session, organised and arranged by MESMAC in conjunction with Bramley Swimming Pool..
That was a bit of a shock to my system, not been 'out' much, so to actually go swimming with a group of other Trans Women was really liberating when I eventually got in there ...
Saw an outreach worker lest week, got some advice about seeing a private doctor while I'm waiting for the GIC, not cheap, but then, needs must ... its what I want and I'm wanting to get on ASAP. Also spoke about changing my name ... that was a strange evening, I looked up FreeDeedPoll.org, filled in a couple of boxes and printed a copy off to have a look at, will print more of on some good paper this week, but it fired up a conversation in my head, do I really want to be called Christene .... I have been known as, or used, Christene for a long time, and to be presented with the Are You Sure? statement was un-nerving ... am I a Christene, or should I be something else .... Christene won, I've always been her, and always will be ....
Saw my endocrinologist this morning, got the results of my last blood test, and told them that being on Testosterone is no longer the right path for me, had a good discussion about transitioning, and they wished me well, might even see them later on down the line ...
Going out tonight, its a meeting of Leeds Trans at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, then there is a meeting of the +25 group at MESMAS with the Gender Outreach Workers. ... can't wait to get dressed up and go out with my face on ...
