I have a problem with a fingernail. The nail on my index finger keeps completely lifting from the nailbed. It feels bruised and sore but is not discoloured. This started several years ago and my GP was not really interested and I am not sure I want to bother them, I don't go very often and this seems a waste of their time. However, it is sore and I try and cover it with plasters to anchor the nail to the nailbed. Sometimes it grows up the nail but then seems to come loose again. I haven't tried any remedies as i'm not sure what it is.
