Cluster headaches

Hi all

I was physically off work for nearly 4 months but working from home intermittently. Since physically returning to work, I have noticed that I have started getting headaches over the left eye. (The left side of my face is predominately affected by FND). I saw my GP who told me that it is cluster headaches which could be brought on by the constant use of my computer at work. But I am wondering if this is stress related as well, as I use my computer for long periods of time at time as well.

Does anyone else experience this?

Hi Angie,

Oh yes, I have regular spells of daily headaches always on the left side of the head. It is one of the myriad of symptoms associated with FND. GP has diagnosed migraine or cluster headaches and prescribed Sumatriptan which has little effect. I’ve also tried Amitriptyline and beta blockers but nothing really helps that much. Hydration is important of course. Be kind to yourself and rest when you need to. I hope you find something that works for you. We all share many symptoms but at the same time FND is different for everyone in many ways!…hopefully research will find an answer one day.

For computer work you could try looking away at a distance every 20 mins I think it is and maybe blue light filter glasses. Then I would add in the holistic therapies when not at a screen.
