Has anyone tried TSM to assist with FND
TSM: Has anyone tried TSM to assist... - Functional Neurol...
TSM

Do you mean transcranial magnetic stimulation? I haven’t tried that yet, because nobody in my area accepted to do this for my 10 year old... It would be expensive, like 5k-10k, which we would happily pay for the small chance it would work, but nobody accepted her... what we did try though, that made a difference was ( other than the basic: pt, counseling, acupuncture, diet, etc) was a treatment with a functional neuro in my area, that gave some eye exercises. it is a concussion treatment (i believe it is called brain spotting/ brain mapping) that worked very well for her FND. We also started on our own to give a natural anti-inflammatory ( curcuma and ginger). She was bed bound in october, with a walker in December, crutches in February and in April she started walking by herself. She is still wobbly, and still needs crutches for longer distances, but it is evolving more each day! The next plan on the list would be get her a spot as an inpatient in a clinic in Australia or UK... I am glad it won’t come to that!
The FND society did a webinar on this on Thursday. The recording is on the website. Apparently in France they have great results with this.
My girlfriend did over 30 sessions and it was like a miracle, she also discovered food allergies and it was the main cause of anxiety and seizures. I can never recommend it enough, so if you can go for it
