I know I just posted the other day, but I was thinking: Amidst all the symptoms and pain that you may have, what do you personally do to to get your mind off of it and just enjoy your self?
I love to draw and sew, it's very calming and I can do it for hours.
I don't have much to say on here since my symptoms are sporadic, but I would love to get to know some of you.

It is great that you have hobbies which require your full attention. I have just been meditating on th is concept of present-moment awareness. I did not realize that I do it everyday when I do the things which bring me joy and calm me. I think everyone should have an activity which is creative as it helps so much of our mind and body to be in sync. You are so lucky to have found something which you can do at home, even on those rough days.
I found that painting pictures really helps! I paint whatever I feel. So sometimes they're very abstract and even I don't know what they are until they're done. But I just go with whatever moves me that day. It's mentally calming and is good exercise for my hands, as I have Familial Essential Tremor that is made worse my my FND symptoms. It feels good to do something creative to bring myself out of the hole when I'm feeling down.
As my tremors are increasing I'm finding my creative streak reducing but I'm flicking thoughts to how can I get this disorder known in my community with support and education, that's where I think I'm headed now and into the new year.
