I drink, it's usually the day after I pay for the alcohol. My vertigo is worse and exhausted, but not sure if it's interaction with my medicine or conditions. I have AF so need to take a blood thinner, whilst I was taking warfarin I stopped drinking for 7 years. I did have a further small stroke so had to change the warfarin to one of the new drugs (prodaxa). Alcohol does not effect this new drug from working, so I started drinking again. I do have to takecare with amounts and be sensible, and I do enjoy going out more. The consequence is I have to rest the next day and to be careful I do not fall.
I've been wondering myself about this and if it's just me who cannot tolerate alcohol anymore. Early this year I had 1 glass of wine after dinner and it was like i had 20. I could barely stand/walk, my dizziness became so much worse, I could barely sense my left arm and leg. It scared me so much I won't try it again. I too would like to know how others are affected.
