My symptoms are all dystonic. It's a weird experience to have my muscles become rigid and frozen. It's been two years since my body developed this quirk. I have read and read and read about dystonia but find there are more questions than answers. How did your dystonia start? What works to help you manage it? What sort of information are you looking for?

we i have just been told that i have functional dystonia and and i have one foot that is turning inward now when i try to walk and now its getting hard to walk wih the pain im having as you can see by the photos on my foot and my hand its not just them its both of them and the blackouts and more thats going on with my body . i just like to know more about functional dystonia i have looked at afew sites on line

Dystonia is the second most common functional symptom. Functional dystonia can be a difficult diagnosis to make so unless your dystonia is distractible I would make sure you feel confident in the medical opinion you have received. Some patients even with function dystonia have seen results with botox. The link below goes to a couple research papers on functional dystonia, which may be helpful.
