Norma,

In sorry to hear that you are alone but making this step you'll find that actually, you're not only a part of a select group but there are many of us out there!

I have NEAD but its not very bad. Whilst on a recent FND programme two others of our group of four suffer horrendous NEAD. I just burr off for a couple of hours. The other two have the same but one has seizures whilst the other wakes up crying out laughing. Everyone's experience is slightly different. Mine I now know comes from different traumas that I've had in the past. I have been given strategies to cope with them and I suspect the others in our group have too.

How does yours manifest and do you remember your first?

I am still under investigation but they have mentioned neads I fall on the floor anytime anywhere and shake and then are very still until I open my eyes I can hear everything that is going on but I cannot move or open my eyes but sometimes i will just sit and stare at something then i will have an episode as the doctors are calling them it is really strange I had 35 episodes in one day about 12 years ago then not any for years then I started a few years ago and would have them 1 or 2 a year and then 2018 about January they started with a vengeance and now I have about 10 to 12 a week
