Why, you little dancer.... LOL... I have been known to hit the dance floor also... I have witnesses... (grin)... Hope you got some dancing done already...
As we enter the New Year, we would like to give special thanks to YOU for your never tiring willingness to help others, your knowledge and your wisdom, and not least of all your eternal optimism. May you and yours be very well in 2023 and beyond.
All the best from down under where it’s already well into day one of January and the weather where we are is monsoonal. Rather different, I expect, than where you are. G&J 😁😄
Thank you for your kind words. I will strive to live up to them in 2023 and beyond. May you and yours have a happy, healthy, and fun filled 2023... No monsoon weather here....a bit rainy, overcast, and 40's-50's... Sounds like you better stay inside... At some point, I must make it to Oz...
You’re a good man. Thanks for contributing and identifying the various sometimes conflicting issues that everyone deals with daily battling this disease.
You are most welcome... I do try to contribute and help others that are stuck on this hell ship... We all struggle with the day to day activities of living with this horrible disease... we must endeavor to persevere... All the best in the new year...
Such wise words and so beautifully expressed demonstrating your understanding, your wisdom, kindness and compassion that lies beneath your knowledge and your unflinching belief that the answer is there in the science and just needs to be discovered.
Hansjd summed it up perfectly. It’s you who deserves the applaud. Through your various posts, regular updates, wise and thoughtful responses you’ve ensured that the FPC forum is current, relevant, informative and most of all a safe environment for those seeking to raise issues or explore concerns.
Despite having no administrator or overwatching, I believe FPC is a healthy and happy place to engage others, share knowledge, and find answers. No running elderly women off the forum here.
Thank you for your kind words, and may you and yours have a healthy, happy new year. I do believe the Science will lead us to chronic disease state for all, and eventually...a cure. May this year be the one..
Thanks Dave and I do hope 2023 is going to be a really good year for all of us.
Like I touched on in my reply, in my opinion, one of the very best things about FPC , apart from the way yourself and the other regular posters keep members informed about recent studies, trials, lifestyle interventions and so much more… is the positive, supportive ‘environment’ of this forum.
When the occasional ‘negative’ comment is slipped in it’s either discretely called out for what it is…usually by K9… or ignored by other members. This, complemented by your unique skill of responding to someone looking for an arugment by providing a positive, informed reply, quickly puts a stop to any negativity continuing. It's shut down quickly. This is the best kind of ‘administration’.
I agree....with that type of "administration"....we can achieve the goal of civility without things escalating to the point of a "deletion", which should not occur in my opinion.
Most of us are patients on ADT and other meds which effect our hormones, and our behavior at times. I have read a few posts where wives talk about how their husbands have changed in temperament. I would love to tell you it is "newbies" that are misbehaving, but that is not the case.
K9 and I recently showed up to defend a poster. At least no elderly women are being run off the forum by "a poster" and people find humor in such misbehavior. That should never be tolerated no matter who the poster may be...
Give Paddy my regards... Tell him to send money for the surgery.... lol
it’s hard to read this without being concerned about the future. New years has become just another day to be grateful for. I will keep my faith and keep reading for suggestions.
I think we can have concerns, but those can not be all encompassing in our lives. Faith is important in maintaining our spiritual and physical lives. Best wishes for a healthy, happy 2023.
Happy New Year, Dave, Marnie, Paul, K9 and all the beautiful FPC posters. May each day be chock full of goodness and friendship! Thanks for enriching my life when I check in. Xxoo
Happy New Year to you and yours. Have a healthy, happy, and fun filled 2023. Glad you enjoy our forum and find it enriching..
Dave, not a spring chicken ....
I am a long time healthunlocked/advanced-prostate-cancer member but only yesterday I was clued in on this arm of healthunlocked for fighting prostate cancer. I wondered where all the discussion on supplements, vitamins, and so forth went. I was missing the contributions of some very esteemed contributors until I was told that they landed here. Seems like maybe they were chased away by a certain know-it-all and his extreme hostility to supplements and alternative medicine or research? I know this isn't in the spirit of the New Year celebrations but I had to get that in there. I'm glad I found this corner of healthunlocked.
Welcome to FPC forum.. I think when one poster is allowed to attack, humiliate, and insult posters with the apparent blessing of those doing oversight, then what can posters do but leave.. not a healthy environment. I believe you will find an open and friendly environment here..
