Who has had prolapsed disc repair? As I'm on the urgent list and have been since the 20th of December!

I had repair of a prolapsed disc 25 years ago and have another one now but no recommendation for an operation. Things have changed since mine but basics are the same. Post operative it is painful for a while but medication helps. Do you have help arranged for after the operation. I am not sure what you want to know but please write again and I will see if I can help.

I notice you are coeliac as well plus have fibromyalgia. I hope you are able to control the effects of coeliac as well as you can. Remember to take g/f snacks with you for the op. My family members have Coeliac disease.

Hiya. I had this operation in 1999 and I have never looked back.

sciatic pain down right leg and into my for a year and 9 months not walking. I was worried about the surgery but I needn't have been. Everything was fine and went I woke up there was no sciatic pain.

It's really not as scary as you would think.
