Morning Zorago when is your operation scheduled for? Are you allowed to take pain relief and if so start with paracetamol 2 four times a day I dont think it will do any harm but any doubts ring up your specialist and check explain your pain levels are exploding and I am sure they will help you! Good Luck oh do eat some chocolate and watch a foolish film for diversion xxxgins

Looking like nov for op, but bcoz of fibro and being live donor, I need psych evaluation, we were told process would take 6mths, which although very difficult I think I could have managed, but if nov is date, that will be a yr, to keep kidneys in best condition, don't want to take any meds, trying to stay positive, sooooo difficult, but I guess one day at a time. Cheers for the advice, now where did I stash the choccy. X

Like gins says plenty of chocolate. Have you tried some gentle stretching and heat packs on the worst areas? It might help xxx Mary

Hi, your surgery can do weekly blood tests to check how healthy your kidneys are. Discuss with either gp or specialist why you cant take at least some meds, if there is a problem a spike in your bloods will show up and quickly. Please ask them again to let you take some. How brave you are and how very lovely. Lynn x
