Has anyone had any luck getting supplies from the buysyndol website as running out of other ideas and this is the only medicine that works for my migraine. Please Help.

Its manufacture has been discontinued in this country. There are pharmaceutical substitutes available, but you would be best to ask your GP about this. Several of us are looking for a supplier - will post if we find anything.

I assume you've checked with your GP that they cannot prescribe you Doxylamine or something similar?

We have no way of verifying the legitimacy, legality or safety or online pharmacies and would prefer that this site is not used to promote possibly dubious websites, however legitimate the original post.
Just to reinforce Lindsey's message - i certainly wouldn't advocate buying any medication on line. You can never be sure if you are getting the genuine article, and of course, technically, you would be breaking the law if you purchased 'prescription only' medication on line.
Several members are, however, trying to find out who has taken over the manufacture of Syndol, if they are re-branding it, and if so when will it be available in UK pharmacies once again.
I am sure that GPs would prescribe Doxylamine on a private form, but I don't think it's on the NHS list of approved prescription medicines.
Will update as soon as I have more info.

Having only just joined this site, I have just picked up your question of SYNDOL. However, I just want to say, be careful with this,as I was on this for about 4/5 years for migraine, and only took about 2 tablets a day , unless I was in real trouble, and then, Whilst living in Portugal, I suddenly one evening got this strange feeling of sickness, not being with it,stomach cramps etc, and the next thing I knew, it was 12 hours later, and I had been very sick, and just about everything else. I was completely confused and had no idea of what had happened, it as very frightening. I had done thngs the day before, like diving in the swimming pool with all my clothes on, going shoppig to buy a dress, talking to friends etc, but all these things I thought I had dreamt, until I saw the clothes on a chair in my bedroom, and my husband told me, we had done all those things the day before , it was mind blowing. Well, to cut a long story short, this started to happen regularly, and in the end i came toLondon to see a specialst[ you have to remember, we didn`t have a clue what was going on, and the docs in Portugal, thought I was losing my marbles ] who as soon as my husband started to tell him what had been happening, he immediately knew, and I was diagnosed with TGA TRANSIENT GLOBAL ANEMIA caused by taking Syndol, and in fact I was a drug addict and did`nt know it [ and this was on 2 tablets a day ]I was told I could be put in the hospital and go cold turkey [ can you imagine I had never taken drugs in my life apart from pain killers, and was being told I was A DRUG ADDICT ] or I could do it myself, but what ever I must NOT take this sort of thing again, and that included other pain killers on a daily basis. This was pretty devastating, as I had several other problems arithritis etc. that I needed pain kllers for, however, I did what he said, and went cold turkey, trust me, it was a nightmare. We went back to Portugal, the headaches were indiscribable, I was shaking, sick, you name it, I had it, and then when I did`nt think I could stand the headaches any longer etc., a wonderful poruguese friend who owned a bar said, he would make me something to take the headache go away,u can magine, firstly, I did`nt believe it and secondly I thought he had gone out of his tiny brain when he made me an expresso coffee with 5 drops of lemon juice put in it, but, within about 20 minutes the headache started to subside, I have to say I was in complete denial that it was the offee, however,from then on for about 2 weeks I had an expresso with lemon juice, and I came out of it, it took probably 3 wks before I admitted it was the coffee. I wanted to tell you this, because, I would not want anybody to go through what I did, becaue of pain killers To this day, I do this, and if I go away I take my coffee machine with me. I can promise you, this is absolutely the truth,so please be careful I am an elderly lady [ did I really call myself elderly, first time ever , I am losing it ] and if you want to check on the computer for TGA you might be interested, it does affect people in different ways, i do still get the feeling I am going into one of these TGA`s sometimes, but, I now know how to control it, it is the worse feeling ever.Hope this will help you
