How can i go about having a baby with... - Fertility Network UK
How can i go about having a baby with sex, i know i need a mans sprem but can it be any as not in a relationship if so how do i go about it?
Contact a Fertility Clinic and ask about the IUI or IVF procedure. Both do what you need. IUI is much lower in cost than IVF. Tell the clinic you plan to use Donor Sperm.
Your best option is a registered fertility clinic, who screen all sperm donors. Not sure if you are entitled to it on the NHS but you could ask. If you need to go private you might want to start saving now. Don't under any circumstances advertise for a donor online etc - you don 't know where they've been. Good luck.
Hi. Just add to the other comments. It is always best to register with an infertility clinic that does donor insemination. This is because all the donors have been through stringent testing to make sure that there are no diseases present and no history of inherited problems. You can access a list of these clinics by going to hfea.gov Also, as you would probably have to pay for the treatment privately, you can choose any clinic, not just a local one to you. I wish you all the best for a successful outcome, should you choose to pursue this. Diane
Hi. Not really, but you might have to have a chat with an "implications counsellor" before embarking on any treatment, so that you understand fully what's involved. You will just have to see what the criteria is for donor treatment, regarding your age, Diane
Thanks diane is it ok do because you want a baby for no particly reason
She wants to have the baby with sex, so I don't think a fertility clinic will help there...
Strawberries, there will be a reason, you need to be able to explan what this reason is. When yu understand the reason, it may be that now is not the right time for you to persue this.Hence the counselling being really important to get.
Don't rush anything strawberries. I personally think 22 to is rather young. You do need to consider the implication this will have on your future. However its not really for anyone else to make these decisions for you. A professional will be able to help you, advise and talk things through with you. All the best x
