Natural IVF cycle

Hello everyone, looking for some advice if possible.

Starting my 5th embryo transfer on my next cycle and my clinic have suggested a natural IVF cycle rather than medicated. What has peoples experience of this been? Not 100% what it will entails tbh

I also want to explore the option of transferring two embryos but my clinic is advising against it?!

Has anyone else been through the same thing?

Thanks ladies ❤️❤️

I’ve not had a natural IVF round, I conceived only with medicated rounds so I’m afraid I can’t provide an opinion on that, other than natural IVF is a more tricksy process as they’re going to try and mimic your natural monthly cycle as opposed to medicated IVF where the hormones and drugs etc make it not matter how long it takes (for example my last period was early/mid July but then my positive pregnancy test was late August lol).

But regarding 2 embryos I 100% recommend this. I had what felt like endless embryo transfers until I told them you’re putting 2 in this time, which they did. First ever implantation I had and I’m now 10 weeks with ONE child; the second embryo somehow ‘helped’ the first I’m not sure, but I put in a 4AA and a 5AB so I’d always put your best one in with a worse one. It does increase your chance of a multiple birth but only marginally, a lot of the time women do just end up with the one baby. I know the clinic is advising against it, but if you make the decision to have 2 you TELL them you’re having two next time and you’re aware of the multiple birth risks etc - it’s your body, your choice and they’re doing this for YOU.

I am now 28 weeks with a singleton from my 7th transfer which was modified natural 💖

My cycles were always regular and in previous transfers my lining and progesterone levels always no issues.

For the transfer I tested for ovulation with home tests and when I got the peak I had a trigger shot to make me ovulate and then started progesterone. Transfer was then booked for a few days later.

I did a modified natural with my 3rd transfer and I’m pregnant with twins. My clinic advises against more than one embryo per transfer - we did one that happened to split.

For my modified natural transfer I did letrozole and light stim meds to help me ovulate as I have pcos and don’t ovulate on my own. I was monitored closely and then told when to take a trigger shot then transfer was 6 days later. I preferred this route as I felt better being on less meds.
