hi, yes I’m there as a private patient and also know people who have been referred there NHS. On the whole I’d say it’s been a positive experience and would recommend. Feel free to message me.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I would also be a private patient. My GP is happy to refer me . If you don’t mind me asking how far into your journey are you ? and are you given the option of IVF etc or do you more or less have to go with what they suggest ? X

Our tests showed some male factor issues so ICSI recommended and we went with that. Despite poor outcomes on the first round, I was pleased they haven’t tried to sell us additional tests etc and all their advice has been pragmatic (like try to drink less alcohol but a few is fine! Etc) Although our doc said she wouldn’t recommend IUI in our case for example, I think she’d have allowed it if that’s what we’d wanted instead. About to embark on second round of ICSI…

That’s really helpful thanks, last thing anyone wants is to feel pressured into paying for extra tests. Wishing you all the very best of luck with your second round

Hiya! They helped us bring our baby girl into the world. Same as the previous post, for us it was a positive experience ☺️

Hi, thanks for your reply, and how wonderful you have a baby girl. Which method did you use and was it successful first time? x

We did ICSI, due to male factor issues and low AMH. Unfortunately the first cycle didn't work. We did 3 egg collections, got 9 embryos in total and did 3 fresh transfers and 4 FET, the last one with 2 embryos was our baby girl, she is 4 months now.I have to agree with K_LNB , they were pretty good in terms of add-ons, they didn't try to sell anything that wasn't necessary, and even discouraged us when we suggested certain things.

Also the nurses are absolutely lovely ☺️ x

yes - all 4 of our transfers (2 fresh cycles) were there. We have a 4 week old now from our final embryo (FET). We were private but my friend went through them on the NHS. Happy to answer any questions.

Thank you for your reply. I’m so pleased that you have a beautiful baby. I will be looking into going privately. I’ve seen that they work alongside Access Fertility, where you can pay for different options that will give you a refund or partial refund depending what package you choose, if you don’t have a live birth at the end of it. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this method as it says it works out cheaper ?x

We didn’t do a package deal on our first cycle but then decided to use access fertility for a package deal for our next one. We didn’t qualify for the refund ones (hardly anyone does so I wouldn’t get your hopes up!!!), but we did qualify for the non-refund ones. So we bought a 2-cycle deal. We only needed the first cycle in the end so we technically spent more than we needed to. But if we had done it from the start it would have worked out cheaper. x

Access fertility make it sound like your definitely get the refund ones, that’s such a shame and so annoying!! Thank you for sharing that. I’m doing this on my own so its a huge decision to make knowing which route to go down.x

Yeah it sounds great until you actually apply for it. Then they review all your notes/medical history etc. My AMH wasn’t high enough, and we had had a miscarriage before. So both of those things excluded us! You may be lucky so always worth asking - but the criteria are so strict for it. x

It gets your hopes up which is so unfair. I will probably ask but won’t hold my breath now. It makes a huge difference talking to people that have experienced these sort of things so I’m not going in totally blind.x

Happy to chat. I had a previous round at Create/ABC and a consult at CRGW and have decided on BCRM, just about to start but even in the last few weeks the consult, the paperwork, the attention to detail and the care has been 10x what I had at the other clinics.

Thanks for your reply. That’s really good to hear. Do you mind me asking if you are doing this on you own or you have a partner? Also I see that they can work alongside Access Fertility, where you can pay for packages and depending which one you choose it offers you either a full or partial refund if you don’t have a live birth at the end of it , is this something you know anything about? X

hey lovely I am doing this alone! I decided not to go with access in the end because when you add in meds and donor it doesnt save you until you get to two rounds and two transfers, I think it is more beneficial if you dont have a donor. Are you doing it alone? x

hi, yes I’m doing it alone as well. It really is a mind field when you add up all the costs involved, especially with donor sperm on top. Do you mind me asking what area you are from?x
