After another week of riding the roller coaster of IVF we have finally made it to transfer day.
On Tuesday, last week, we had 9 donor eggs to defrost, 5 survived and only 2 fertilised using DH sperm, which had been defrosted. ( frozen as taken medically due to failed Vesectomy reversal)
Not great odds and I was convinced neither would make it through to day 5.
This morning, we have gone in and had a 2BB embryo transferred and am now on the dreaded 2WW.
The other embryo was not quite at the stage it should be and the clinic is going to call tomorrow to let us know if it has progressed enough to be frozen. They did say it is looking good but just not at the right point yet.
Due to my age, ( I had to have my transfer by next month or it would have been too late as I would have been too old) I am trying not to get too anxious ( easier said than done I know)
Anyone else had their transfer today and on their 2WW?
Also anyone got any tips on how to:survive this long wait and what should and shouldn’t be done. I have read so much…not sure it is always good to do this.
