I recently posted over here question about spotting after transfer. My spotting gone from brown isg to bright red and stronger in the recent couple of days, the test is faint positove. Even digital shows "pregnant". Spoke to clinic, been told to increase ultrogestan to 5 a day instead of 3 (i am also on one lubion) and retest Thursday/Friday. My spotting got stronget byt it still not full flow. However since yesterday i do have some cramping too 😪
Im devastated. This is my last attempt. I already done 5 IVF"s. 3 fresh transfers (1st failed due to low progesteron as got proper period a week after transfer, 2nd failed, empty sack, MC at 12 weeks, now this). Is this chemical ?
My heart broke, i am so upset. 😔
Are there any positive storries with faint lines and stronger spotting ?

Hi MagsGK I'm so sorry you're having this stress. I really hope it's not a chemical! I have also experienced a chemical and it's devastating. Can you go into your clinic tomorrow to have a Beta HCG blood test to see what might be happening with your levels? I know it won't change the outcome, but it will help to quantify your actual HCG level and your clinic may be able to advise on what to expect on the basis of that. Your clinic may be reluctant to give you a blood test (I know some are) but it may be worth pushing for one.
FWIW I have read a few stories of women who've had faint positives late into the 2 week wait and those positives have become stronger, so it can turn around.
Once again, I'm really sorry you're in this hellish limbo right now. My heart goes out to you ❤️ Please feel free to PM me anytime if you need someone to talk to.
I'm not entirely sure, but I'd imagine that it takes a few days for the HCG to leave your system if you're having a chemical. I'm surprised your clinic won't let you do a blood test to check your HCG levels as if you are currently on medication then you'll need to know whether you should continue it or not. If your clinic refuses to do an HCG blood test then I wonder if you could get one done elsehwere to confirm your levels.
I'm sorry you're in this limbo and that you're having to deal with your clinic refusing to let you do a blood test to see what's going on. It must be incredibly stressful for you.
Thanks for the update Mags. Fingers crossed for your next blood test, which hopefully will confirm things for sure. Hope the bleeding stops soon, as that must be really disconcerting X
Try not to stress although I know it’s easier said than done …. can you get a blood test booked ? My clinic don’t offer them and after my chemicals it was just frustrating but it’s worth asking ??
Yes....still positve. My hubby says its even stronger..... please have a look.
Finally my clinic is going to do my blood tests today ... im so happy about that .... but I expect the worst. My bleeding is really strong....it would have been a miracle if that was a viable pregnancy.
hello, im afraid they do not want to so my blood. They said to retest today or tomorrow to check if line is gone. The line got stronger and on top bleeding 3rd day, proper flow like period. Have no idea what is going on 😓
so sorry you’re going through this. Perhaps ask your GP if they can get a blood test sorted for you? Your local hospital’s Early Pregnancy Unit should also help. Thinking of you x
Just a little update. Im still bleeding but clinic done my hcg on friday and its 136. Im exactly 5 weeks. Slightly low, but been told its not as bad as long as its doubling. Had another hcg yesterday on Monday and its 296 so clinic is really happy about it.
Unfortunately due to heavy bleeding now for nearly a week i need to go back for hcg again on Thursday and possibly scan friday next week to rule out ectopic pregnancy.... they said probably will be diverted to an Early Pregnancy Unit.
I already gone through this last year. Been bleding the same way and pregnancy was terminated as it was an empty sack.
All i can do now is just wait... and that is not easy at all.
aww magsgk I’m so sorry your going through this. This journey is so shit sometimes. You have to keep positive I know easier said than done. 😘😘😘 I hope your ok xxx
