Embryos update day 3 🙏🙏🙏🍀

Hello my lovely ladies hope you are all doing well.

I've waited until today to share some updates. So from the 22 collected eggs, 21 were mature and 14 fertilized successfully.

I just had a call for day 3 development and 2 has been already frozen as they've achieved the stage suitable for freezing, and the other 12 are still developing and the embryologist said they are doing well too.

Such a relief two are already in the freezer and fingers crossed 🤞 on Saturday we get some good news too!

Thank you for all lovely wishes it seems that they brought me some luck! Good news were well needed!

I still feel sore and bloated as hell but hubby is here so we are going around and drinking plenty of Turkish teas and coffees 😹😹😹☕☕☕

Hubby is going back to UK tomorrow night cause he needs to work let's see how I'm going to communicate with the embryologist on Saturday hahaha. How's everything with you? In all honesty I miss my home in UK and my dog and I really want to go back ahhaha but doc wants me to wait for a period. I've been to Turkey before cause hubby is Turkish and I definitely love it but for two weeks no more 😂😂😂😂😂😂 How are you holding up in the 2ww? When's test date xx 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Test date is Monday so 4 days today. I’m doing good. I’ve noticed a few things but I think it’s probably the progesterone or my mind playing tricks on me 😂 it’s impossible to tell. I’m from the uk too. Heading home next week after we find out xxx

I'm in Izmir and they don't normally get snow anyway. But in Istanbul is snowing a lot and they've cancelled lots of international and domestic flights. Hubby is flying back tomorrow night and is hoping they won't cancel his 😹😹😹😹😹

He will be fine hahahha I'm not getting transfer now 😭 it's a freeze all cause of my blinking Estrogen levels. So just need to wait for bleeding so doc can check me. I'm really shocked from the amount of medication and care you get after retrieval. I'm even on antibiotics and blood thinners to prevent infection and blood clots. Xx

Ahhh that makes sense actually from the amount of eggs you had collected! I think foreign clinics are bang on you know, they cover everything!! Bless you, remember to drink heaps of water too!xxx

That is amazing news! I found this part really hard too - waiting for updates! Sounds like they are taking really good care of you! Keep hydrated and hopefully you will feel less sore and bloated soon! I have been to Izmir, quite surprised about the snow too! But they have healing waters, so fingers crossed it is all good for you! My mum used to go there for treatment for her health! 🙏🧡 Enjoy Turkey and those hot drinks! They did lie for the snow though hahaha I was waiting at the window like a little child cause I love snow but didn't see a single snowflake hahah. I hate the wait I myself find these updates frustrating too it's like waiting in the dark and waiting, and waiting and it feels like ages 🤣 it's even worse than the 2ww haha. This is amazing news! And sounds like they’re taking such good care of you. Although if your hubby has been there he’ll have been making sure they do 😉 ahhhh I’m so so pleased for you and in the end it’s better they’ll be frozen as you can get your body ready naturally for transfer and there’s not really any different in fresh or fet rates. I just hope it doesn’t cost you too much going back and forth xxxx 😁😁😁

Thank you! The good thing is I don't pay for accommodation cause hubbys family lives here, I don't spend much money for food either. And the treatment itself is like 10 times cheaper than UK. So even with adding up the plane tickets we are still saving money. I just miss my own home and my dog hahah and I really can't wait to go back to UK 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Awww 🐶 that’s lovely! Nice that you get to stay with supportive family too! I am interested though as I didn’t think the clinic I go to was over expensive (I was on nhs for my treatment so I was very lucky but will have to pay to use the final embryo and paying for storage now although will only have to pay for FET so it will be cheaper). So a general round with them is I think 3.5k incl scans and medication etc. if you buy a 3 rounds it’s 10k. How does that compare to what you’re paying in Turkey?

3.5 k for UK is really good. The clinic I was with was charging almost 6k for a general round without medication included and then when you top up storage, blood tests etc it was coming up to 13-15k. Once we've used our NHS funding my old consultant quoted us 20k along with the IVF itself storage, medication, transfers, sperm DNA fragmentation (where normally we have no concerns over hubby's swimmers) and some investigation.Right now the Turkish lira is really high so an IVF round+all pre treatment blood tests, some genetic tests including Lupus and antibodies, semen analysis, medication, embryos storage, one transfer is £1300 I've just calculated it again omg. Xx

Omg that’s a huge difference in the U.K. I think maybe it’s because I’m in London and there must be a lot of competition driving the price down. They’re transparent as the price list is on the website. But wow! A whole round plus a transfer for £1300 including storage is crazy cheap you’re right! I guess even if you had to pay for accommodation it would be worth it
