9dp3dt Feeling hopeless

Last Monday I had a fresh transfer of 2 embryos. I am 39, and used my own eggs. Over the weekend I started having period cramps. I have had zero pregnancy symptoms. This morning I took a First Response Early Result Test. There was nothing. Not even a faint line. Tomorrow is my beta blood test, but I feel like I already know the outcome. This was my one shot at IVF, as I have no other embryos. Feeling hopeless and broken. Infertility is so cruel.

See what your blood test says tomorrow

Unfortunately it is a very very cruel journey at times, especially when there is no explanation as to why things aren’t happening the way they should

Hang on in there, wait for the bloods then focus on moving forward with whatever the result is

🤞for tomorrow

So sorry lovely. Fertility issues are so tough and know that feeling of hopelessness so well. Do you have the option to try another fresh cycle? Nothing I say will make you feel any better, except maybe that time is a great healer.

Wishing you all the best for tomorrow xx

It is HORRIBLY cruel sweetheart. All the worse, I think, because children are EVERYWHERE. Most people can and do have them. So there are just constant reminders of what we might never have. Well-meaning friends and family point out the one woman in 50,000 who managed to get pregnant naturally at 50, and probably don't realise that doesn't really put our minds at rest 😂. All I can say is, you aren't alone, though it really feels like it sometimes. I'm day 3p5dt and already dreading my OTD 😱 I'm keeping everything crossed that you'll get a different result tomorrow xx

Good luck! I am in the same boat last embryo to transfer. It is scary at least I feel this way. But hoping for a good outcome for you. Maybe the test did not pick it up because is too early. Good luck!
