Today is our OTD and we have our first ever positive result. I've had failure to implant and a chemical pregnancy at Christmas. I honestly can't believe it.
Ithe only thing is I have lower back pain more so to the right. Is this normal? I've just finished nights and they've been quite busy so I'm just wondering if it's due to being tired and having busy shifts. I've never got this far before just wondering if anyone has had this.

I just wanted to say a massive congratulations! 🥳 I can’t give any advice on the lower back pain but I wouldn’t worry too much about it, I’m sure it’s just part of the pregnancy symptoms. If you are worried and want to put your mind at ease maybe get in touch with your consultant just to let them know you’re experiencing it and I’m sure they’ll be able to give you more advice than I can. ☺️❤️
Thank you. I've never got this far and it's been nearly 11 yes since we started this. I stupidly thought that once we got our bfp I could chill but I'm overthinking more 🙈
Wow! 11 years? That’s amazing that you finally got the BFP that you’ve been waiting for! I think it’s only natural to worry especially after all that time waiting for this moment, but try and relax and just enjoy what you’ve been waiting all this time for ❤️
Honestly I'd totally forgotten how long ago it was when we had over very first appointment, all the genetic tests, waiting for referrals, funding and then issues with my lining.
Nothing has been straight forward we always find problems. At one point we decided we just needed to step away for a bit, have a break , try and relax have some holidays before we got caught up in it all.
Wonderful news!! Congratulations 🎉 👏🏻 If you have been working nights you are most likely very fatigued. Dr Google confirms that lower back pain can indeed be a symptom of early pregnancy:
Absolutely! I’ve been using the Mindful IVF app which is helpful right to the end of the first trimester - might be worth a try. And Calm.com too if you aren’t already using it. I had my first obstetric appointment at 7 weeks which was really helpful for reassurance and asking questions. Sending big hugs to you 🥰🥰
Thank you I'll definitely do that. The advice on here is absolutely unreal. It's easy to feel like you're on your own but everyone is so helpful and supportive.
That’s so lovely, thank you. I have to agree. Where else could I post something in a panic at 4am on a Sunday & get an instant reply!
Just a thought but I went to my GP for my pregnancy blood test and when she heard my story (7 IVF attempts, 4.5 years trying) she immediately signed me off work for a month. It was really helpful to allow me to rest and adjust to the start of morning sickness. Mind yourself - you so deserve this. xx
You've a lovely gp. The things that run through your mind are just unreal but on here there's always someone who has had the same thing or similar and it's so reassuring that you aren't totally losing your mind x
Your journey has been a lot longer than mine, so do consider asking for support from GP, even just for a couple of weeks. We need to think long-term. Best of luck 😘😘
Absolutely. When we stopped for a bit I didn't appreciate how long it would take to get back on. But I think the few years helped we got married but had nice holidays and chilled knowing that this was going to be a big focus. I think older me has been better prepared for it even though I obsess over everything 😂 x
❤️❤️ congratulations may the rest of your pregnancy may be safe and happy with lots of wonderful memories 🥰
