O bless u. Test date is quite far away for u. I had the same problem a few days ago. Bleeding 5 days prior to test date. Unfortunately didnt end well for me but there has been lots of cases on here where ladies have bled and the test is positive. Sometimes if its where more than 1 embryo transfered (1 stuck 1 hasn't) you can get a bleed. I can never resist and test early if I'm bleeding to mentally prepare myself for the likelier outcome. I'm not recommending this....it's just what I do. Definitely carry on with your meds till OTD and if u do test early .....continue with meds and test on OTD. I always do even when I know what the outcome is in my heart. Wishing you all the best. Xxx

Ask them for a progesterone blood test so you know what levels your at. I had my test yesterday after spotting brown results today low 45nmol should be 70-99 for good implantation rate anything below 50 says has decreased implantation rate. I had results back today this morning and they said need to come to clinic and collect prolutex 25ml injections to take along with up my dose of progesterone tablets from 600ml to 800ml my test date is 29th no cramps yet but stomach injection is still sore 5 hours later. Doing nothing but resting but can’t stop thinking about it.

Yeah I am furious 😡 I believe this is why my first ivf failed I stated bleeding a week before test day was on 400mg progesterone and didn’t start that until day of transfer. This time they started me on 600mg on day of egg retrieval so they obviously thought my progesterone levels had something to do with why it failed and that’s why they Increased the dose and stated it earlier. But what is the point if they are not going to monitor to make sure that you are getting the correct amount. 😡 I’m angry that they are the experts but if it wasn’t for this group and me reading someone else saying they asked for test and their levels were low I would not of know and would not of had the option or timeframe to get test results and increase dose. They know they messed up coz they said I wouldn’t get results until Monday then they called me 8am this morning to say they fast tracked the results and I need to come to collect injections. I mean how hard is it to do a simple blood test that would save us all so much heart ache and stress and give us a better chance of success. My husband is furious we are going to make a complaint as what are we paying for if we need to be telling the experts their job and what is best for us.

Me too had 5 eggs 4 fertilised 3 didn’t make it to blastocyst so none for freezing and 1 put in a really good quality 5AB hatching. My mum paid for this cycle for us in total has cost us £8000 £1000 just on covid tests as we came to Prague to have our treatment. £6000 last august 😔

I can’t disagree with your comments - I’m sure that is why our first round failed due to low progesterone, our very first transfer took but I had MC before the 7 week viability scan

We have just completed our third round which was a donor egg round, now the hospital as a matter of course get the recipient to complete a medicated monitored cycle, so I was taking the cyclogest 2 x 400 a day, which is what I had on our cycle where I MC. The hospital monitored my levels and said that I had only half of the progesterone level that they needed me to be, so I started injecting prontogest everyday, fir three days then got tested again, my levels were too high, so for our live cycle I was told to inject every other day as well as take my cyclogest twice a day.

It makes me very angry to think that I may not be on a third round, £40,000 out of pocket as our first go could have worked if only the hospital had done further blood monitoring prior to and during transfer

I am convinced this is a planned thing they do to get more money out of you as if success on first go you wouldn’t need to go back I am thinking of taking legal action as professional negligence. Deliberately not testing levels when this is the main course of failure the. They try to blame you and say oh bad quality eggs age etc.

My husband doesn’t trust private medicine says it’s a money making business first and foremost

Also something I’ve just remembered, during our first round, a nurse at the clinic said ‘your first go is a bit of a trial run’ which really upset me as that round cost £12,000

That’s what I’m thinking they think you have an endless pot of money so don’t try to find out everything that is wrong they want you to keep coming back and paying 😡

I think your right, they did more vigorous testing with my sister who was our donor, then they did with me.

They said we had unexplained infertility. I said to my consultant it’s never unexplained you just haven’t found what’s causing it and she agreed

I just found this on web and am going to do a second opinion with them centerforhumanreprod.com/do...

Just read it, interesting article! If you are going for a second opinion you have nothing to loose!!

I think if we had our time over again, I would have insisted on having a medicated monitored cycle, I would have also wanted the genetic testing package my sister had.

Our second round we had two of our embryos PGTA tested and they came back chromosomally abnormal, not surprising that the one that was put back, I started bleeding before test day, and it was proper blood flow not spotting. Like the original post the hospital told me to keep taking the medication and test on test day - I remember thinking what’s the point I know it hasn’t worked

Funnily enough on test day it was a bfn, so I have no doubt that, that egg collection produced eggs with defects, although when I asked they couldn’t say whether the issue was me or my husband. But my husband has had a DNA fragmentation test done when we first attended the clinic which we decided to do because of his age, he was mid 50’s then

I am having a meeting with dr tomorrow and manger of the clinic as I believe this is definitely what had caused my previous failed ivf and have started bleeding since last night so possibly this one to. Yes I want to know why I have not been given a medicated monitored cycle. Been told the same thing to keep taking meds but am having painful period pains now. Period due Tuesday 😞 furious that they didn’t checked levels before transfer only 2 days before egg retrieval. So won’t even know if levels were too low. And had a really good quality embryo this time he was rareing to go as seen in time lapse video cell division was amazing and he was bursting out of the egg. So angry they may have caused me to lose this cycle due to human error and negligence nothing else. 😡

See what they say - I envisage they will fob you off to negate any responsibility.

Another thing crossed my mind - it proves that it is a profit making business, the prices keep going up every year, yet there seems to be more and more paitients in the clinics year on year?!

It’s a shame really, because when Dr Winston discovered how to create a test tube baby he didn’t want people making money from it

I think they are scared already as they are making these appointments very quick for me. I think I have them on slot of things one being they advised me to take ibuprofen after egg retrieval as was in a bit of pain and I said you not supposed to take that as can effect implantation my coordinator said she hadn’t heard that before and asked several doctors and nurses and said they had not heard of that either I told them well that is what I was told by clinic in U.K. and my doctor so hey said ok don’t take that then. Simple google search states do not take ibuprofen as effects implantation. So for them not to know that an be advising me to take it, if I didn’t know then that could have quite possibly have effected my cycle. Makes me wonder how many other things they don’t know and why am I paying them as experts. ?
