Dairy free diet IVF /try to conceive
I’m really confused re: diet during i... - Fertility Network UK
I’m really confused re: diet during ivf. My clinic says dairy is fine, but online the consensus is to cut it out, what’s correct?

Lots of pretty good studies show that having whole fat dairy increases a woman's chances of conception.
My last 3 cycles of embryo banking (out of 5 cycles in total) I upped my dairy hugely - lots of full fat milk etc and I got the best blastocysts I’d ever had and ultimately had twins. Obviously can’t say that it contributed to the success in isolation but I also craved milk during my pregnancy
My clinic specifically told me to up protein and specifically to drink a litre of milk a day.
I went to see a fertility nutritionist and she recommended in the 3 weeks during stims, to have 250ml of whole milk a day (with flax seed & blueberry) as it acts like a fertiliser for your eggs. Like Ivfgotadream I had the best blastocysts I'd ever had at the highest quality after including this in my diet. x
Life is too short to cut stuff out unless there is a real medical need. Focus on a well balanced and healthy diet but don't obsess over it. I defo didn't cut out diary on my cycle (I'm now 37 weeks). This IVF journey can be long so it has to be sustainable too. I already gave up drinking and literally can't remember the last time I drank.
Wishing you so much luck and baby dust with your cycle. Xxx
Ah London lady, that’s great news. Congrats.
Yes I agree , I’m not gone too crazy with diet, it’s balanced but not extreme. I pretty much gave up drinking a year ago apart from Xmas I had a few, I had one glass of Prosecco at the weekend, went straight to my head, was enough 🙈
Thanks for reply. And congrats again xxx
Don't read into too many things online, listen to your clinic or only read the NHS online information, the only thing I cut out is caffeine, and I eat everything obviously unless you have any intolerances.
I'm 16 weeks.bgood luck to you X
Oh and obviously alcohol ha ha but I don't even miss it X
It’s the last opportunity to enjoy nice ripe cheese before you get pregnant!
