Harmony test - not enough DNA

Hey everyone,

Has anyone had this? I had the test done at 10+5 weeks (twins) and got a call this morning to say they couldn’t provide a result as not enough DNA was picked up. Need to go back for bloods in 2 weeks. The worry never ends xx

Yes I had this at a similar gestation with my twins - mine was the NIPT Panorama test - I think the minimum to be able to do the report was 5-6% and the first draw my twins were was 2% and 4%. I had it redrawn 2 weeks later and results came back low risk. I think it’s pretty normal to get a no result with twins at less than 11 weeks on the first draw especially if one is measuring smaller as was the case for me x

Thanks so much for this! That’s put my mind at rest a little. Hopefully the next result with come back as low risk 🙏🏻 Hope you and bubs are doing well x

Don’t worry hun, you did the test a bit too early, it just means there isn’t enough baby blood mixed with your yet as it’s early...suggest a re draw earliest at 11+5 and it’ll be fine- no impact on results anyway! You can totally breathe 😉❤️Xx

Absolutely you will! I’m so so today, had a little scare yesterday...some light spotting after a wee, but happened only once...spoke to my private gynaecologist and she said she doesn’t think it’s anything to do with the baby, maybe some irritation from the Crinone gel...anyway didn’t happen again but I’m now ‘on high alert’ so today will rest in bed just in case. Have another scan booked on 27/02 anyway so will try to keep calm until then. Xxx 💋💋💋💋

Oh lovely, I’m so sorry. It’s never ending worry isn’t it. Good that it was light and the gynaecologist doesn’t think it’s anything to do with the baby. Have you been told to take progesterone throughout the pregnancy? I have to strengthen cervix, I’m on cyclocest. Could you try that if Crinone irritates? Rest up lovely, I’m sure everything will be just fine xxx

I was on Cyclogest in cycles before but I didn’t absorb it well and using it ‘by the back door’ gives me really bad tummy pain so I’m a bit stuck 🙈waiting to see what my clinic says, if I should stop the Crinone for a couple of days or not....to be honest this far along in pregnancy it’s only useful to strengthen the cervix as you said....xx

Hi Peanutchips. I think you may have done the test a little early, so hopefully in 2 weeks you will be where you want to be with the results. Scary I Know, but try not to worry. Thinking of you. Diane
