I did, but it didn't do anything for me but that was because my thin lining turned out to be blood flow-related and not to do with my estrogen levels. In the end, pentoxyfiline and vitamin e worked for me (by increasing the blood flow)

Thanks for your reply. I too am taking high level vit E and L’argine, blood flow looks ok so hoping Tamoxifen gives me the boost I need as my uterus is just not responding to Estrogen alone. Good to hear you managed to increase it, it’s so frustrating having lining issues xx

I read raspberry leaf tea is supposed to help, I’ll be trying that for sure ☺️xx

it is super frustrating - i think we wasted multiple good quality embryos when i first started doing IVF because of it :(

Same here... I’ve tried everything... red raspberry tea, castor oil packs, fertility massage, 12mg estrogen, viagra, aspirin, pregnacare, vit E, D, C, B, omega 3, royal jelly, co enzyme, acupuncture, reflexology and still the best I ever got was 6.5... quality is there but just won’t thicken up. I researched Tamoxifen and asked about it in my review and they said I can try it next... it’s basically my last hope

Have they tried you on patches or taking the progynova vaginally? Xx

I took 6mg orally and 6mg vaginally but not patches, I did ask if I could try patches and they said there was a shortage in uk x

try pentoxifyline and vitamin e! it can take a few months to start working but i think it really did improve my lining, and the side effects were minimal...G-CSF is another treatment for thin lining (altho it didn't do anything for mine)

Not heard of Pentoxifyline before. I did ask about G-CSF but my clinic don’t do it as it’s not got enough evidence behind it apparently. I did look into other clinics that do this but won’t do it as a one off.. I’d have to be their patient first x

Hi there I am new to this forum and just wondered if you had tried the tamoxifen yet?

Hi, I did try it yes but i didn’t respond well to it at all. My lining was still thin and it affected the structure which had always been good. Welcome to this forum, I find it really helpful x

Hi how are you getting in with your lining issues? I had my egg collection today but my lining is looking too thin to proceed with a fresh transfer xx

Hi sorry to hear that, I have been there and it is really disappointing, what was it measuring at? Is this your first cycle? Just wondered what it was on previous cycles? Tamoxifen, tuns of Estrogen, viagra and lots of supplements and healthy lining promoting foods did nothing for my lining. They decided to see what it would be like on a all natural cycle, and I also started some medication called Trental and that had taken my period from a light 1 day period to a 3 day normal flow so hoping it has done something.. had a scan last week and it was 6.2 and a good structure so i am going all natural... will have a scan after next period and see if we can transfer... I know 6.2 isn’t thick but I think it’s the best it is going to get and the structure was best it had ever been. Xxx

That’s great! It’s my second cycle... I had to freeze all on my first cycle as my lining was only 3mm at egg collection. I then had to wait for a hysteroscopy- which should no scarring so they think it’s my blood flow. I started on Trental which is pentoxifyline for 12 weeks and Viagra and got my lining to 6.8mm. They did a frozen transfer but I got a BFN. We had one more embryo frozen but unfortunately it didn’t survive the thawing process.

Started a new cycle and we got 6 eggs today but they have recommended a freeze all as lining only at 5.6mm. So I’ll start back on the pentoxifylline and viagra for 10 days when I next have a bleed.

I hope pentoxifylline works for you - it’s difficult getting so far and then your lining let’s you down. Do you have many frozen embryos? Xx

oh no, sorry to hear about your embryo. We have 2 left and I’m having serious anxiety about them not surviving. It will be our last shot as I am 42 this year and can’t emotionally or financially start again. Did your clinic say what lining measurements they would be happy to transfer on? How long were you on Pentoxifylline for? It’s so frustrating isn’t it, I don’t know many ppl with same issue so been really struggling with it. Nothing seemed to work so really hoping this does. Xx

I think we were just very unlucky that our last embryo didn’t survive the thaw - it was a top quality one too. I think it happens in about every one in a hundred.

I was on pentoxifylline for 12 weeks - my consultant said it doesn’t work if it’s any less that that. So fingers crossed it works for you. How long have you been on it for?

My clinic will transfer from 6.5mm upwards - especially if the lining looks good. My lining was 6.2mm on Monday but regressed to 5.6mm today.

I’ve done so much reading about it! I think I’ve driven myself crazy with it! Yes like you, I don’t know many people with the same issue.

Please let me know how you get on xx

I will do, you also. I’ve been on it 2 months so let’s home this extra month will improve it even more. X did you have to come off it for your fresh cycle?

Yes I did, it did seem to work for me - so let’s hope it does for you.

We found out today that 4 out of our 6 eggs have fertilised. Fingers crossed some make it to day 5! Xx
