IVF -3 eggs fertilized, next steps?

Hi everyone,

I just found out that 3 of my 5 eggs were fertilized and I’m waiting to find out how many make it to blastocysts. I’m feeling a bit down from some of the stats I’ve read and was wondering if anyone had any positive stories to share.

Don't worry, this is a good number. I felt like that too when 3 of my 6 eggs fertilised. Two of them made it to day5 and I had them both transferred xx

Hi! We only had 2 eggs fertilise out of 4. Both made it to day 5 and had one top quality blasto, 1 put in and we have our bfp 😍 I know it’s cheesy but it literally just takes 1 xx

Hey. Im currently in the same boat. We retrieved 7 eggs, 4 fertilised on day 1, had 3 on day 3 and I'm booked in for transfer tomorrow at 12 and s... myself to see if they survived or no. Keep your head up and keep positive, everything will work out great for us! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🌈🌈🌈xxx

I’m freezing, my clinic only does frozen transfers so I didn’t really have to think about it.

Hello Darling

I can’t offer anything, but letting you know I’m in the same boat. I was ecstatic to get 14 healthy eggies, but only 5 fertilised to day one. The waiting sucks!!! Even my husband is in tears. However he has banned me from Doctor Google, and quoting statistics.... it’s driving him mad.

So I guess we better focus on getting our bodies Heathly after EC, and not worry about stats until the final Figure comes in..

Ugh I’m sorry, it really is so frustrating. You’re totally right about doctor google though. It’s best to just try and stay positive

Its hard not to compare to others, I was doing exactly the same thing! I had 7 eggs retrieved, only 4 were mature, 3 fertilised. By day 3, 1 of them was clearly better than the other 2 so had a day 3 transfer and now I’m almost 11 weeks pregnant! It only takes 1! Good luck, stay positive!! 🤞🤞 xx
