Hi,

So we’ve just started back at the beginning. Have to start over with our investigations. ☹️

Has anyone tried Acupunture?

Also would like to ask is egg retrieval painful?

💟

Hi, I’ve done a couple of acupuncture session but I don’t know if I’d recommend unless you have a diagnosis. I had a suspected diagnosis so I decided on acupuncture to help things naturally but after my lap I ended up with a completely different diagnosis so ended up being a lot of money to relax but wasn’t helping any. I think there are cheaper, alternatives ways to relax. However do think acupuncture is good at certain stages of the journey. I understand how frustrating it all is. It’s taken me 3 years to get an actual correct diagnosis and am just waiting on treatment. Keep faith. Keep focus on one step at a time xx

I think I do need something to relax me. I’m on my forth round of clomid, ivf scared the hell out of me. I been so anxious lately. We’re starting with the basic ultra sound scan and blood work 😕 joke when we had these test close to a year ago, it’s been a long bloody wait as it is, I’ve been off contraception since 2010 started to try properly two years ago and had three miscarriages, I can’t wait to actually be pregnant be the thought actually scares me now I don’t think I could face another miscarriage 😱

Thankyou for ur help I might try I’ve 2 more attempts at clomid 🤞🏼 xx

Have you heard of Inofolic? I’ve been taking that which improves egg quality and helps with ovulation. You have to pay as a supplement not free on nhs. You wouldn’t be able to take it with clomid but may be an alternative. Try different things for relaxation different wee things every week or month. Walks, cinema trips, massage, reflexology, spa trips!

After three miscarriages have you had tests at recurrent miscarriage clinic?

Yes, had internal scan, bloods, HSG and two sperm test back in October. We’re now on our 4th round of clomid praying haha.

We’re currently booked in at st Mary’s for the same test then it’ll probably be a lot of waiting around and being frustrated. It takes ages to get results back and to even see a consultant. I’m hoping everything is ok and we get to start IVF soon. Hopefully the start of next year.

I need to get mentally ready for the ivf Duno how I feel about it all yet I don’t feel excited. God I’m so negative 😂

Have you tried yoga? Great for relaxing and fertility? I love it. It’s what keeps me sane! X

I tired it once and it’s not really my thing to be honest. I think I’m goin to have to brave it out and try swimming, my stomachs so bloated from the clomid which I don’t care just don’t want someone seeing me thinking I’m pregnant 😱 I have to be careful what I wear from day 21 ish be the worse thing ever someone asking when I’m due, id be like what! IVF haha.

Good luck to u on ur journey xxx

To be honest it depends on what is used at egg collection. I had conscious sedation which meant I was awake and it was a bit painful at times despite having pethadine in a drip. A few ladies on here have been awake too but the vast majority of ladies don’t remember a thing xx

Yeh I have heard this. Thankyou for ur reply I’m a wuss. Apparently it’s not as bad as the hsg. I also know private clinics knock u out which would be good. God u have to be bloody strong don’t u xx

Haha yea. I didn’t find the hsg that bad, not nice but all I had was paracetamol but perhaps it’s really painful if you have a blockage in your tubes xx

It wasn’t the worst pain ever but I wouldn’t want to do it again haha. My tubes were clear too 😱 I was so worked up tho xx
