Seems we are forever to be kept on our toes!

We were due back at the EPU today for another scan, which happened to coincide with a massive bleed today. We were absolutely convinced we’d lost the baby. There was a lot of blood. But there it was wriggling away 😍. Growing well - on track 8w5d as expected. So seems I’ve got an SCH/clot. It’s quite close to baby so they want to keep an eye on it, back in 2 weeks for another scan.

Not out of the woods yet but feeling very blessed tonight. xx

Hey! I’m all good! I still don’t feel pregnant and I’m not very much enjoying being classed as a normal pregnant woman. It’s weird having been in the care of consultants for all these years! Must write you all an update this weekend xx

Bless ya hun. I feel it's so hard to enjoy pregnancy with all the worry and heartache so many of us go through. The joys of it are just robbed from us. Don't get me wrong the moments or days after a healthy scan are amazing but then those dreaded feelings just come back and taunt us. Big hugs lovely looking forward to your update.

😘💗

I had an sch which has now resolved itself at 20 weeks. Was quite large at 8cm- they usually resolve themselves in the first trimester and are very common.

Hope your bleeding has calmed down x

I am beyond worried lianm8. I had a massive flood/gush again last night - before that the bleeding was on/off. Yours was ongoing for so long!! 😱 mine was only 2cm so I can’t understand why so much blood. I am going to see if they will see me today. It’s horrible. So happy you’re all okay xxx

It really is horrible! I had three massive gushes off blood in the space of about a week - sorry for tmi but it was pouring out of me - I was sure it was all over.

After the bleeds I then had brown spotting from around 6-12 weeks at 12 week scan brown had stopped but clot was still there but it had gone yesterday at 20 week scan.

I would keep calling the epu every time you have a massive bleed they will scan you. Brown blood is just old blood from the clot. I used to get stringy bits in the brown blood too.

Stay in bed get as much rest as possible as you don’t want to aggravate the clot- we went on pelvic rest so no sex or exercise, heavy lifting etc until all bleeding stopped. You don’t need bed rest they told me that actually doesn’t make a difference and they would worry more about dvt but don’t over do it.

Thinking of you xx message me if you need anything xxx
