Hi everyone. Starting my injections tmrw. Starting to panic now. It’s getting very real. Did anyone have doubts before starting. I cant wait to get going but my anxiety levels is allowing the doubt and fear to creep in. I’m so scared it won’t work. And how will I cope with it not working?

Hello, definitely don’t panic although I know this whole process can feel super overwhelming. You will be able to cope with it and the medication will build up gradually in your system. What kind of cycle are you onand what injections? Wishing you lots of luck. I didn’t have any doubts and can’t help too much on the ‘what ifs’ because it’s just not how I cope.. it may well be denial but I take each day as it comes and know I can deal with it that way! There is lots of support here for you, you got this 💪🏻 Xx

Hey thanks so much for your reply. How are you getting on on your journey. Do u have ec tomorrow? Did I read that right? Im on the short protocol. Gonal f 150mg and cetrotide. When I went for consultation back in October I had an afc of 21 and amh of 25.6. They were very pleased with those results and said I should respond well to Meds. We are dealing with male factor. My partner had undescended testicles as a child. However we managed to freeze 4 straws and pleas God on the day of ec he will produce a good sample. We are doing pgs testing as it was recommended to us to do it. I’m 35 and because of his issue we were told we should do it. It’s just the unknown and waiting that’s really hard.

The unknown I found tricky too, particularly not knowing how I’d feel on the medication. I also am onshort protocol and found mainly I was more tired than usual with some nausea. Today I do feel quite swollen and ready for the eggs to be collected! You get used to the injections pretty quickly and the time goes so quick! My ec tomorrow morning which is cd11. I’m not far ahead of you so keep in touch lovely and wishing you lots of luck with starting! Xx

Good luck with your first injection today and for the rest of your cycle. Your feelings of anxiety are completely understandable. Try to focus on taking things one day at a time for now and keep us posted on how you’re getting on xx
