We are travelling over to mainland UK for our treatment as we live on a small island. We are planning to fly back home the evening of transfer day and just wondered if that would be sensible or would it be advisable to travel the day after? Thanks!

I have been advised that flying is absolutely fine. I'm in my 2ww at the minute and we have a holiday booked already as some of our friends are getting married abroad and I was fretting about it. I was told it's completely fine. My dr said Women are going abroad for ivf more and more these days and flying makes no difference 👍🏼 good luck!! 💕👍🏼🤞🏼🙏🏼 xxxx

Thank you! I'd say you've earned that holiday after what you've gone through to get where you are now. Wishing you lots and lots of luck for a positive result! xx
Thank you!!💕 I bloody need it! Haha stressful isn't it and I just can't wait to lay out with the sun on my skin and a mocktail in hand 😂😂🙌🏼👍🏼🤞🏼🙏🏼❤️💕 xxx
I was told long haul was a no for the first trimester but short haul was fine. But in the end again no evidence supports that advice either.
I found the airport scanners more scarey although they say there is no risk there's no proof either way. In the US you can avoid the scanners completely and ask for a pat down search whereas in the UK you have to go through one of the scanners.
