So today we went for our first consultation at a new clinic for our second attempt at ivf.
It started with bad news which sent me into floods of tears. I basically have very low egg reserves and I'm only 30!
Good news was the consultant said I'm ready to start down regulation today which I was so not expecting so I'm just about to do my first injection tonight and we are off full steam ahead for round 2!

Hey Ch319.... I still remember the noise of nothing when they told me I had low egg reserve and low quality. And here I am... waiting to do my first injection of my 2nd cycle tonight too! x
Hey! Just wanted to say good luck for your next cycle. I am due to start my second cycle aswell. I was told i have an amh of 8.4 but was told it's low for my age and I'm 29. Turning 30 next month and feel shit about it!!! X
And to you too. Please let me know how you get on. I was so not expecting to start so quickly but your right I'm feeling more positive again
I was diagnosed with low ovarian reserve at 31 too and was completely deversated, due to start ivf very soon and praying that they find some eggs too. Wishing you all the best to hear it's all happening so quickly sending baby dust your way xxx
It's easy to feel alone with low egg reserve. I'm 32 and found out last month that my FSH was 32 and AMH was 2.1! I didn't see it coming at all (cycles are regular) and until I found these boards I thought there was no hope and hardly anyone with the same issue. I wish you lots of luck with your treatment and thank you for posting about this.x
It is so scarey. I sat in the car park and just cried yesterday. I wish we were never limited by the number of eggs in our life time. Good luck to you too πππ€π»π€π»
Of all of the many horrible fertility issues to have, low reserve is one of the most cruel and particularly sneaky if symptomless. Thank you. I start cycle 1 of 3 of 'natural modified IVF' with Create in two weeks' time. Will be keeping an eye on this forum.x
I was shocked when I was told my AMH was 4.7 at the age of 33 after 10 years of trying. Another test shortly after showed it to be a bit higher than that, without any chances in lifestyle or anything so it can be a bit variable.
But I am lying here with my 2 day old baby asleep on my chest. It really does only take one good egg (and I had 6 of them despite low AMH which I think isn't so bad).
Oh my thank you so much for this message. It gives me so much hope and I just pray that one day I will get to say something similar to you! Enjoy your time with your baby xx
