7 week + 1 day scan 👍🏼

Had our 7 week scan today, was absolutely amazing, saw our little embryo's v strong little heart beating away, everything measuring perfectly and looking great. We're beyond happy and just keeping everything crossed that we make it to the 12 week scan and beyond 🙏🏽😍 This all feels completely surreal but totally wonderful 😄

Hi PennyPrimrose. How exciting for you both. I always prefer a 7/40wks scan, as you tend to see the little heartbeat more clearly - not that you don't at 6/40wks, but it's just that bit clearer. Here's to your ongoing pregnancy and seeing your little one as a little person at 12/40wks scan. Diane

Thanks Diane, yes it was astounding how clear the heartbeat was, my husband & I were both pretty speechless! It suddenly makes it seem that little bit more real & you start daring to believe this may all work out how you've dreamt it will. Hopefully the 12 week scan will be just as wonderful 😊 Thank you for your support X

Diane I just wanted to ask you, my clinic have advised that I can now stop the Cyclogest pessaries but to continue with the Progynova till 12 weeks. Does that sound right? I only ask because I thought that usually people carried on with Cyclogest until 12 weeks & I've seen that on here a few times too. I will double check with the clinic but wondered what your thoughts were. Thanks X

Hi PennyPrimrose. Yes, that’s no problem, as they must feel certain that you are producing enough progesterone to sustain your pregnancy. Some consultants just prefer to continue with some oestrogen until 12/40wks. All got their preferences. You will be fine. Diane

We've booked in for a 10 week scan as well now to break up the wait for the 12 week. Couldn't resist! So nervous about it all progressing correctly. Thank you for your reply X

Congratulations! Just had a 7weeks + 5 day scan and it was so exciting. Four looooong weeks until 12 week scan but dr said the miscarriage chances are now 1/25 to 1/30.

Ah congratulations - it's amazing isn't it! Such a mixture of disbelief, amazement, relief and happiness 😊 I don't know how I'm gonna cope with the wait for the 12 week scan, I want to pay for another earlier one but my husband thinks I need to chill the hell out and just wait it out now. 😆
