Hi Charlieboo_57. It depends why you needed IVF in the first place. Do you have an infertility problem too? If so, they will have to honour the IVF cycle. If not, then you would need to have donor insemination. If your husband/partner is producing tiny amounts of sperm, couldn’t the cycle be carried out using ICSI? Just a thought. Kind regards Diane

I have POS and my hormones r low . So that is y we were funded ivf and my partner sperm is not good enough that is y they say I need a doña sperm and to do iui . But have to replay I live in surrey so funding is all out ur postcode . Thanks for reply DianeArnold just so up setting being told one thing and then take it a way x x

Hi, I would question the IUI if you have POS and low hormones, it suggests some female as well as male factor, therefore it may be better to try and use an IVF round which the Drs have more control over. so it may be to ask as suggested by Diane.

However, needing donor sperm is something you and your partner should take some time to consider and get some counselling as there are long-term implications that you should consider prior to starting such treatment.

Good luck
