I was wondering if anybody knows what counts as a whole round of ivf treatment. My partner and I started round 1 almost a year ago. Unfortunately it failed and we were left with 1 frozen embryo, which I had transferred on Friday so am currently waiting the results of (not feeling hopeful due to major cramps and period signs). Anyway, I assumed this was round 2 but a lady in my work asked if it was still round 1? Which has put the question in my head. Does anybody know the answer to this? Does it still count as only 1 round until all eggs/embryos collected are used up?
Thank you.

A round of IVF includes all the embryos from the cycle, so if for example you had a retrieval, fresh transfer and some frozen transfers after that, that is round one. IVF number two will start with another full cycle, stimulation, retrieval and all te transfers after that xxx hope that helps
Hi yes I was under the same impression until I asked the nurse. Each round is basically start to finish and she said best to think of each egg collection as 1 round so if you had x3 frozen transfers from ur first egg collection it’s still your first round of IVF
I am now on my second round and 1frozen from this round. Keep holding on to the hope u have it will happen for you
