I'm 4 weeks pregnant this Wednesday dated from egg collection . Or am I further along!?!?

I know I've heard your meant to add a few extra weeks on befor egg collection - so does they mean I'm actually 6 weeks this Wednesday??

My 6 week scans booked for mon 27th June . ( 2 days before I'm actually 6 weeks ( dated from egg collection.

If your 6 week scan is booked in that's when they think you'll be about 6 weeks. When they scan and measure they'll give you a date and then just go by that. X

So I know I answered this before but today I was having a look through my medical notes and came across the letter from the IVF clinic confirming my pregnancy. In it, they say the following:

The EDD for IVF pregnancies is always known exactly as the date of conception is certain. The date of conception is the date of egg collection and equates to 2 weeks gestation.

For me, they have based my due date on the above and did not use the scan for dating. The scans I've had are more for growth monitoring.

Maybe it's different between different clinics and hospitals but I don't see why it would be?

Just be prepared that they might tell you that you're measuring 2 weeks ahead at the scan!!

I'll get an induction date soon but no more than 2 weeks now! 😬

I got pretty bloated in the first trimester and I'm carrying twins so I was in maternity jeans at around 10 weeks! None of my jeans would fit anymore so I just gave in. But I didn't show properly until a bit later. Some people don't show until 20 weeks. I think you're more conscious of your own shape anyway, don't know that others really noticed. Long scarves, long cardigans and so on help to disguise the early bloating.

When I had my viability scan I thought I was 8+4 weeks pregnant (calculated from LMP), but they told me I was 8+1 weeks pregnant because they call the EC date 2+0 weeks. That makes sense because my LMP was on the 19th and two weeks prior to EC was on the 22nd. But I'm sure you have figured it all out by now. Good luck with your pregnancy
