Hi, Bhargav21 , welcome.

Are you overweight?

The way I see it, The Fast Mimicking Diet (MMD) gives the benefit of fasting without losing weight. I am now at my target weight - so I could contemplate it.

Have you seen this video by Dr Mindy?

I think most of us need to lose weight, and I do not know of anyone else interested in FMD - so please let us know what you learn.

It's quite calorie restricted. 1100 days 1 & 2 and 750 days 3-5.

They claim an average of 3% weight loss in 5 days, which is not nothing.

Sorry I can't offer you any personal experience, but as far as I can tell, the FMD is basically a less painful way to achieve the benefits of fasting. It seems to me a complicated (and potentially expensive) way of achieving a simpler outcome. Have you tried water fasting? Some people find it surprisingly easy. You wouldn't want to do it with support of a medical professional, but you wouldn't do FMD without that either.

If you haven't, spend some time watching Jason Fung on youtube.

(I am not a doctor, and this is not remotely medical advice)

I wanted to know whether fasting in cycles has potential to cure diabetics

5days water fast and 25 days eating window 6-7cycles

Has a potential to regenerate all beta cells .

Has anyone tired ?

I heard some positive results also .

The optimum number of days to fast will depend on your personal medical history - but it sounds good, as a generalisation - and yes, it works.

Dr Jason Fung is the global expert, and he puts some of his acute diabetes patients on an initial two or three week medically-supervised fast - and he offers individual advice for less than you would save by eating less - and offers a seven-day free trial.

I do not have diabetes, and I do not need to lose weight, so I am not using this service, but we would like to hear of your experience if you use it.

Hi, I tried the FMD, but gave up after 2 days, as I found the lack of protein very difficult. For me it is easier to either eat or fast. I'll hunt for a really good diary I found about it.....
